Fashionable Clothing for A Fraction of the Cost
By Nora Quiason
Fashionable dressing need not cost a week's income. Just visit your local thrift shop and surprise yourself with the style and choice of clothing for a fraction of the cost. Thrift shops offer used clothing, store close-outs and factory overstock. You can find unused clothes still with tags in them. Designer label clothes lurk on the racks. Jeans of different styles, fit and sizes can be matched with tank tops, shirts and jackets. Find a pair of matching shoes. Once you have coordinated the outfit that looks best on you, add the accessories. Belts, jewelry, scarves, and purses complete the ensemble. Don't forget to shop the thrifts for one time use clothes such as a long gown or an evening dress. Men can find clothes from tee shirts to suits. Thrifts even carry wedding ensembles. When you are done shopping, surprise yourself further at the checkout with the bill which can be as low as 10 per cent of what you would have spent in a regular clothing store. Furthermore, charity run thrift shops such as Goodwill and Salvation Army are also tax exempt. Thrift shops are run by different organizations or may be a for profit business. Shops like junior league or upper scale thrift stores carry more designer clothing and may also be higher priced. When you shop the thrifts, you not only contribute to a good cause but save yourself money on your way to looking expensively dressed. Enjoy your clothes and when you tire of them, donate them back to the store.

Thank you. I get the picture frames, gift wrapping paper, books and decorative stuff as well.
I love "a good deal". For me with 3 grandsons, it's fun to get a good bargain. Thanks for sharing this great tip.

Hi: At my local Salvation Army store, seniors get 50% off every Wednesday. Last week, I got me a brass trunk I used as a night table for $8.00.
